- 1 A chemical compound or functional group containing carbon (“organic”) atoms and group 16/chalcogen atoms, but not necessarily exclusively, which are also organic compounds. (ie. carbon dioxide, amongst others, is inorganic, thus not an organochalogen)
- 2 The class of such compounds.
