Etymology

From Brazilian Portuguese x-caboquinho, from x- (prefix forming names of food items), a back-formation from X-búrguer, from English cheeseburger with xis (name of the letter X) approximating English cheese, + caboquinho, a diminutive of caboco (“caboclo”) with -inho.
