Besides alpha2-agonists, apical uptake was inhibited by verapamil, desipramine, and quinidine, but not by MPP(+) (1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium), TEA (tetraethylammonium), decynium-22, carnitine, PHA (p-aminohippurate), alanine, or inosine.
