The following is the modification status of the occurrence rudder: [...] Modification 5844 (Glass Intermediate Layer). The occurrence rudder was a post-modification 5844 (Service Bulletin [SB] A310-55-2012) design, which incorporated a GFRP layer between the honeycomb and the CFRP skin, rather than aramid fibre–reinforced plastic (AFRP) as used in ^([sic]) earlier design.
