Bf

This bf style is sooo comfy; it's super oversized and the waffle material is ideal for all the chill days around the corner. PS: get the shorts, too.

The question I have is that my 3 yr old seems to show an interest in bf now that I'm bf the baby.

I have read and my pediatrician said that infants receive the greatest benefit from bf for a one year period, and after that nutritional and immunity benefits begin to diminish.

Honestly, one of the reasons I *chose* to see her instead of one of the peds was that I knew she was very pro-bf, into natural medicines and nutrition, and very much on the same page with me in a lot of ways, moreso than any of the peds I've seen.

I'm planning to bf my son until he is 6 mos. old. I've noticed from the postings that some bf their children well into the toddler years.

It's not as if I was a slapper or anything like that, I just didn't want the hassle of a bf.

Am I the only one here?? Whenever I start feeding Matthew I feel like I'm making others uncomfortable.

I've BF'd *everywhere* - partly because I have little choice if I don' twant^([sic]) to be locked in a hotel room, and if anyone gives me a "look" at all, it's a smile, tho probably not due to BF but to the baby I'm carrying.

Then, practice breastfeeding in front of the mirror so that you don't show too much flesh. Yes, BF is natural and good, but you don't have to flash everyone all the time. ;)

Now I am sitting here 6 months on, and he is still breastfeeding and I hate that I have absolutely no support (other then from DH who is GREAT) and I have no other mum around who has BFed more then 6 months. I feel so alone and isolated (I know that sounds stupid) I have no one I can talk to about it as its considered wierd to BFed this long.

See if you are already meeting all the criteria for successfully BF'ing your DD.

I didn't know how to BF until I did it either. I had never seen anyone BF, yet it came very naturally to me and I nursed both my children (ds until he was 13 months and refused and dd until she was 2.5).
