If Jews had all the power in America, we'd be able to take off for Shabbat without endangering our jobs.

Shabbat is the most important Jewish holiday.

You should go to the synagogue on Shabbat.

Shabbat begins on Friday night.

Shabbat begins on Friday evening.

I leave early on Fridays, as I don't work on Shabbat.

This year, due to the fact that the 24th of the Hebrew month of Tishrei falls on Shabbat, the ceremonies will be held on Sunday, the 25th of Tishrei, as they will be every year when the 24th of Tishrei falls on Shabbat.
