Acidophilicity

In the experimental group distinct dislocation of the cytologic picture to acidophilicity of the cells could be observed . Dirferences among smokers and non - smoking persons are statistically significant in all three groups of cells.

In bone marrow the mitosis of erythroblasts stops and the cell specialization seems to proceed without cell division showing the increase in acidophilicity of the cytoplasm of erythroblasts or in heme level .

Interestingly, acidophilicity is mainly restricted to aerobes, such as in the genus Snlfololmles or Tlyerrnoplannaler (Stetter 1996), although anaerobic growth at pH 1—2 and 75—90 0C is observed in the genus Aez'a'z'anns.
