We decided to concentrate on product areas where we could develop a market leading position – toys, entertainment, childrenswear and household products. As a result, adultswear and food were dropped from the range, as these were areas where we felt that as a general merchandise operator, we would never have been able to establish a market leading position.

His childrenswear range is supported by his hugely successful adultswear range and profitability is again, not at stake here.
