And I think this is CENTRAL to AFCdom getting perpetuated in our society. Chicks are unaware of what they want, announcing all the time that they want things that are different from what they actually respond to.

That reaction would fit my personality, and I'd have the added benefit of it being a neg, (makes her feel a *little* silly for thinking I would), while at the same time showing her that I'm so far removed from AFCdom that it didn't even occur to me buying a drink was an option.
