AIPAC is an unaccountable lobbying group with extreme opinions on Israel that do not represent those of American Jews.

Although AIPAC is prohibited from contributing directly to political candidates because of its status as a registered lobby, its reputation as the primary voice for American Jewry on Israel affairs has earned it significant clout in Washington.

In their new 30-second ad, the J Street group hammers Stevens for accepting AIPAC support – in the form of bundled donations – in a video featuring images of violence at the US Capitol and from a recent hearing of the House select committee investigating it.

Von said he was concerned that the American-Israel Public Affairs Committe^([sic]) (Aipac) and lobbyists had “infiltrated” the Democrats and that the parties were changing.
