Airboating

As an indication of the wide spread interest in airboating, particularly that exhibited in the south during the past winter season, one has but to note the many points the compass represented by the following passengers took rides in the regular St. Petersburg-Tampa 19-mile airboat line operated, by the Benoist Aircraft Company using Benoist flying boats.

The darkening sky only increased the feeling of vast distances, a sense that the world is flattening itself out beneath you,which makes airboating like nothing else on earth.

Popular recreations in the larger Everglades, airboating and swamp-buggy rides are prohibited activities in the park.
