Alcmena

Hercules, the son of Alcmena, is said to have been the strongest of all men.

Juno, the queen of the gods, hated Alcmena and wanted to kill Hercules while he was still a child.

She then dispatched two very fierce serpents, which came in the middle of the night to the room of Alcmena, where Hercules and his brother were sleeping.

But Alcmena, the boys' mother, heard the scream and woke her husband.
