Altbier

Altbier is a dark amber-coloured top-fermented beer from the Rhineland.

We're out of Pils. All we've got left is Altbier.

Their own version of brown ale, long the signature beer of the Düsseldorf region in northwestern Germany, is called altbier, literally old beer.
