To investigate graft survival and the fate of transplanted hNSCs in the DG, fluorescent immunohistochemical analysis was carried out on serial sections from each animal using primary antibodies polyclonal rabbit antiglial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) (1 : 500, Dako, Glostrup, Denmark), polyclonal rabbit anti-microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2) (1 : 500, Millipore, Temecula, CA, USA), and monoclonal mouse anti-human nuclei (hNuclei) (1 : 200, Millipore, Temecula, CA, USA).
