Antipriestly

The Pharisees were mostly laymen; to some extent they were antipriestly. The group was under the direction of nonpriestly scribes.

In order to ask oneself whether effective priestly service is at hand, one must look to see whether an unpriestly or antipriestly service is being performed, even among many conventional priestly activities.
