Artivist

Compared to […], the New York-based collective known as Queers for the Climate more explicitly articulates an environmentalist agenda. In this section, I examine three of the "artivist" performances associated with the collective: a viral campaign centered around the hashtag "It Gets Wetter," a short quasi-documentary titled "Climate Change Ground Zero: Fire Island Pines," and a series of memes.
