Autapotypic

The monophyly of the limbatus group is based on the presence of autapotypic female coxital plates; the plates are only feebly developed in the more primitive Central American species.

The presence of three in this lineage is interpreted to be autapotypic.

Absence in Neohaemonia is judged an autapotypic loss.
