Bem

After 17:00 this 1st of June of 2025, I was at sunny Tim Hortons café here on Lulu Island to enjoy an Iced Classic Lemonade and a Turkey Bacon Club Artisan Sandwich. My friend Gustavo's all-Brazilian foursome family arrived to buy donut holes. He and his wife have two young girls. All four family members seem triracial: white, red, and black. But they all look very much predominantly white. I mentioned to myself that Brazil is a much whiter country than my homeland, the Philippines. "Tudo bem!" in Portuguese I exclaimed (All good!).

Where OOCSS and SMACSS can be seen as a more of frameworks for thinking about structured CSS combined with some handy rules of thumb, BEM is a much more rigid system for how to author and name your styles. BEM is originally an application development methodology from the search engine company Yandex.

Incidentally, Mr. Bergey, the BEM's on your latest smear have extremely jovial expressions on their pans to be as tough a bunch of eggs as Friend made them out.

This is my first time in active BEM service. They've never let me near the Bugs before.
