Bipoc

This is an assault against BIPOC.

There will be no invalidation or othering of BIPOC at this meeting.

We're going to try centering the perspectives of BIPOC.

While BIPOC come disproportionately from immigrant, lower income social experiences, this cannot account for all people. […] The idea that all BIPOC know “what whiteness is about” presumes that all of us go through institutions in the same way and are aware in the same way.

Keep yourself educated on the issues, follow BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and other marginalized groups' pages.

There’s also a roughly 29 percent brand deal pay gap between white and BIPOC influencers, and that number expands to 35 percent when you look at just white and Black creators.

BIPoC guests, likewise, can reimagine their chosen characters simply by Disneybounding as them (i.e. a Black Ariel).

In reality, the New Deal mainly targeted and benefited White families and White workers, largely excluding BIPoC workers.

Carnella, Natasha, Beth, and Lynne challenged us to consider ways to highlight the contributions of BIPoC authors that would also make these chapters easily available to a wide audience, explicitly inclusive of BIPoC readers. A second request had to do with financial profits the book might garner, asking that we consider donating a portion of any profits toward projects advancing BIPoC and LGBTQ justice.
