Blintsi

A lot of our own traditional food is served and this is what I would choose to have. I don't mind any other Canadian food, but I'd still like to have some of our good old borshch, pirogi and many other things that our people are making. They're so delicious and good to have once in awhile;^([sic]) also lapshevnik, lapsha, vareniki and blintsi.

Apart from recipes and culinary advice, the book [Please to the Table] is stuffed, like blintsi with meat, with various information about customs, traditions and festivals of the peoples of the former Soviet Union. These informative blintsi are served with the dressing of numerous quotations from Chekhov, Gogol, Tolstoy, Pushkin and other Russian classics.

Whenever the family visited there was always borcht, lapshevnik, pirrahi, fresh garden salads, fruit from their trees and one of our favorite breakfasts, blintsi.

At 12:30, there’s a blintsi brunch, and at 2 p.m. the concert performances begin.
