My resting heart rate went down by 8 BPM in the last week. I must be getting fit.

I just woke up and my BPM is 56. Did I really wake up?

Tachycardia is a heart rate of more than 100 BPM. If your heart is beating too fast, you may experience chest discomfort, fainting spells, pounding of your heart (palpitations) and shortness of breath during usual activity levels.

If you’re very physically active, you might have a resting heart rate under 60 beats per minute. Competitive athletes can have resting heart rates as low as 40 bpm or so.
