EC also served a notice on Karnataka's Primary and Secondary Education Minister Basavaraj Horatti for meeting with teachers and seeking support for his party's candidate for a by-poll in that state.

The CEC had the matter enquired and made a press statement that the electoral rolls of Mangaldoi had to be revised before going for the by-poll.
