Cancerized

In experimental carcinogenesis model of oral cancer, when chemical cancerization solution is spread over the mucosa of hamster cheek pouch (one of the most widely accepted animal model of oral cancer), the first change observed is marked desmoplasia or fibrosis underlying the cancerized epithelium, even before the abnormal morphologic epithelial lesions occur.
