Capsica

Capsicum chinense or 'Chinese capsicum' is a misnomer since all capsica originate in the New World.

It is the most common of all capsica, and its fruit is particularly pleasing to the feminine palate.

Consistent with this, VR1-knockout mice can eat capsica all day, even though mucosal injuries still occur.
