It would be interesting to study taxi drivers, bus drivers, and delivery men to discover the amount of carbomonoxyhemoglobin (CO-carrying hemoglobin) that is in their blood.

Spectra treatment corresponding to the above solutions revealed some statistically significant results. This allowed the method application to the photodissociated and freeze-dried carbomonoxyhemoglobin.

Time resolved resonance Raman spectroscopy also made it possible to study carbomonoxyhemoglobin photolysis.

The formation of carbomonoxyhemoglobin has been shown by Weiss to take place by the same mechanism as does the formation of oxyhemoglobin.
