Chemoreceptorial

The nitrergic CP/VEG ganglion cells may mediate interactions between chemoreceptorial systems in the CP and secretory cells in the VEG.

Several neuronal fibers were detected under the chemoreceptorial epithelium.

The data suggest that amylase-positive cells constitute an additional subset of taste receptor cells also associated with chemoreceptorial and/or secretory molecules, confirming the occurrence of various pathways in taste buds.
