Cicisbeism

Goldoni, whose fault was rather to have overcharged than spared the vices of society, described cicisbeism only as an absurd and troublesome code of etiquette, by no means interfering with the sanctity of private affections.

This would include all those regular sexual relations, which are practised with or without marriage, such as cicisbeism, free love and conjoint marriage (see below).
