Circumpubertal

Measuring genital response can be embarrassing for participants, possibly biasing both sample recruitment and subsequent reactions to stimuli: individuals willing to undergo such testing procedures may not be representative members of the population at large, and may be more or less inclined to respond to verboten stimuli (such as pre- or circumpubertal children) during testing.
