Connectomics

I believe it is fair to say that the connectome and the nascent field of connectomics are beginning to influence the ways many neuroscientists collect, analyze, and think about their data.

The giant fiber system provides a particular opportunity for functional connectomics because the functional contributions of elements in the pathway can so readily be assayed from its behavioral output.
