Conspirituality

A hybrid of conspiracy theory and alternative spirituality has appeared on the internet. The existence of such a synthesis has previously been noted in passing (Barkun; Goodrick-Clarke), but no detailed account has yet been given of what, for the sake of convenience, we call ‘conspirituality’.

Conspirituality, in fact, helps describe some of the dynamics and one of the “contexts” in which Italian Pagan conspiracy-believing is embedded—one that, at a more general level, is characterized by what Christopher Partridge (e.g., 2004; 2005; 2014) defined as occulture.
