Counterflooding

New Jersey has taken another underwater hit, this time amidships, and reports are coming in of one of the boiler rooms beginning to flood. Damage-control crews are doing their best, but, between this and the earlier hit, New Jersey is having to engage in some rather extensive counterflooding to stay on something approximating an even keel, and is falling back as speed begins to drop off.
