Currentless

Currentless deposition is an autocatalytic process in which metal precipitates out of a solution the composition of which depends on the material to be coated.

Cutting off electrolysis at this moment, gives monotonous increase of currentless potential - without delays (Fig 2).

The pretreatment is followed by the activation with nuclei of noble metals like palladium and the currentless deposition of the metals like copper, silver, or others.
