Dandy-roll

Heretofore the manner in which these accumulations have been removed was to take the dandy-roll out of position, causing a stoppage of the machine and a consequent loss of production.

According to this invention the bearing of the dandy-roll at each end is carried on a pillar or support on top of an upper plate supported on springs, rubber pads, oil or air cushions or the like fitted between the upper plate and lower plate.

The body of the roll was made in much the same way as any dandy-roll is made at the present time.
