Deraining

In contrast to other common strategies that increase depth or breadth of the network, we use image processing domain knowledge to modify the objective function and improve deraining with a modestly sized CNN.

It is demonstrated that the proposed method yields in relatively higher performance in comparison to other state-of-the-art deraining models in terms of derained image quality and computing efficiency.

Images captured in rainy days suffer from noticeable degradation of scene visibility. The goal of single image deraining algorithms is to generate sharp images from a rainy image input.
