Dieselisation

Camden motive power depot has been much criticised for its emission of smoke in a residential neighbourhood and its complete dieselisation is rapidly taking place.

It is understood that the WR is planning the completion of dieselisation on the Welsh side of the Severn Tunnel by the end of the year. [...] There are also reports that the WR is aiming at complete dieselisation of its operations by the end of 1965, although to achieve this it seems possible that transfers of diesel orders from other Regions will be necessary.
