Dieselpunk

The story is set in a dieselpunk environment.

In the fascinating Japanese anime Xam'd: Lost Memories (亡念のザムド), one finds dieselpunk as part of its strange schizo tech universe, in which different technologies are anachronistically present.

Speculative fiction includes the genres of science fiction, fantasy, horror, superhero fiction, alternate history, utopian and dystopian fiction, supernatural fiction, dieselpunk, and steampunk, as well as combinations of those mentioned.

One can consider Esperanto as a Steampunk language, whilst Interlingua as a Dieselpunk language.

My interest in Esperanto and Interlingua may be entangled with my interest in steampunk and dieselpunk.

In other words, steampunk explores adjustment to an industrial culture from the opposite direction to cyberpunk -- but has very much the same agenda. Me, I'm trying to write dieselpunk ...
