Have you labeled your edited master so some joker doesn’t come around tomorrow morning and record a Bugs Bunny cartoon over your precious program? The world is filled with doodleheads who think that any program which isn’t theirs is expendable. Label that tape! Put it in a safe place from doodleheads.
