Drawovers, such as the one shown here, were instrumental in refining those details.

Below are some of my notes and drawovers, pushing the HOC artists to make small adjustments like increasing the size of his hands and making his undershirt more tattered. Tiny notes like this really add a lot to the visual impact of the character.
