Anyway, as soon as I could get my head into the car--3PM today--I drove home. Roz and hubby were starting with the iced vodka and fish eggies, really making my stommie lurch...had to get out of there.

I think that Efnet and IRCnet, among others, prove that nick/chanserv is not an indispensible^([sic]) requirement, as long as you have reasonable alternatives (eggdrop bots, etc.) Indeed some folk I know even object to eggies on a channel and will avoid them like the proverbial plague!
