Erotes

Regretfully, the shaft of the stele is lost, and only the central part of its gable is preserved, featuring a bust of the goddess, flanked by two Erotes.

There is also a parallel if less common iconography of the standing Narcissus (both alone with erotes—for example, from IX.3.5/24[…]—and with Echo and erotes—for example, Naples Museum[…].

The relative scarcity of children's sarcophagi (i.e. of child-sized sarcophagi) and specifically child-related iconographies. The Attic sarcophagi with Erotes are an exception to this.
