That p.o.s. is being released because it has boob-jiggles, and the Brains at ADV assume that North American fandumb still consists solely of teens looking for animated boob-jiggles.

We've already got several in the running for this month's awards and are hoping they bring yet more (dis)honor and (in)glory to Michael Jackson fandumb.

I don't know what it is about fandumb that gives rise to such rabid, irrational "shipper-ism," but I'm assuming that chunks of this episode were written to cater to the segment of the fanbase clamoring for Buffy and Spike to get together.
