New feature versions, running longer than the original theatrical featurizations, were also prepared, with two features edited from Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (which had never spawned a theatrical feature) covering virtually the entire serial.

Being only 65 minutes long yet featuring a large percentage of the thrills from the serial, at the expense of almost all narrative coherency, Lost Planet Airmen is one of the most dizzying, frenetic serial featurizations ever pieced together.
