Floatline

To attach the bridles, start measuring from the point on the gavel 16 metres from the floatline wheree you have seized the end of the leadline.

Generally, there will be equal selvedges to the floatline and leadline.

If rope of appropriate breaking strength is used throughout the floatline or as the up and down line, or if no up and down line is present, then individual weak links are not required on the floatline or up and down line.
