In general, Mintel's research shows that consumers appear happy with the quality and taste of free-from products, but they are still looking for greater choice.

In the UK, the overall market for 'free-from' products is expected to show continued strong growth in the near future. Within the next 5 years, it is expected to almost double, growing by 97% from 2007–2012, reaching an estimated £354 million.
