Fuchsinophil

With lichtgriin-fuchsin many ganglion cells showed numerous granules or droplets of fairly large size which stained various colors and may correspond to the so-called fuchsinophil (Fig. 4).

Although in 15 of these, the results proved negative both microscopically and by inoculation, on 13 occasions the results were positive, revealing the presence of rare fuchsinophils, elongated and exceedingly fine.

Among the acidophils, fuchsinophils are less in number while basophils (1 ) predominate.

The cell is provided with a nucleus at the base and usually filled with coarse granules, which are fuchsinophil as well as edsinophil.

Kull's method for mitochondria reveals the presence of strongly fuchsinophil material in the cells of the yolk-sac endoderm.
