Furcoated

An array of mackintoshed men, a few furcoated women and a huddle of shooting brakes and two motor cycles were no substitute.

And Victoria whispered: “Well, enough was enough.” The thin blond woman smiled at Victoria. The tall furcoated woman smiled at Victoria. Even the two black men smiled at Victoria.

It was our second great success, and even the furcoated lady, by then only clad in the skimpiest version of the little black dress, gave me a long kiss and a hug before she went home.
