Half-pant

Children wear half pant-banyan or shirt, or knicker and shirt. Middle class men of the older generation wear dhoti-kurta or pyjama-kurta, and sadari (a kind of jacket), over the kurta.

A normal tendency for buying a gift is that it should be attractive like the saree of a woman, useful like the trousers of a man and costs like the half pant of a child.
