Hardstanding

The caravans' concrete hardstanding was demolished by the council soon after.

The movement of certain types of lorries when loaded, and certain other transport is forbidden. On no account are vehicles to be moved off a good road or hard standing.

"Thanks to the deck of an articulated lorry being similar to the rail vehicle, all we needed was some hardstanding and a bridging plate. Sometimes it pays to keep it simple," he says.
