Lastly a brief survey of the material in our department. During the period from 1929 to 1941 39 benign papillomas and 44 cancers (hereamongst 8 malignant papillomas) have been treated. In 28 of the 39 cases of benign papilloma microscopic examination was made; 26 were extirpated transurethrally, 2 were removed by cystostomy, and the remainder were fulgurated.
