Hou

Hou Rong, the Director of Research at Panda Base since 1994, has raised over 200 baby pandas during her tenure and hopes that one day their work will help pandas thrive outside of captivity.

But some entrepreneurs, such as edamame farmer Hou Chau-pai are finding ways to carve out niche markets and thrive.

According to the court, Tseng claimed the money to pay the salaries of three county council aides, but Tseng colluded with his wife, surnamed Hou (侯), to hire their relatives to pose as aides and pocket the money themselves. It was found that one of the aides continued to receive a salary from April to July 2017 after having quit and remitted the money to Hou.

The present paper deals with a collection of mammalian fossils found in situ by a field team of IVPP in the late Pleistocene sandy clays interbeding [sic] with sands and gravels along the Laochihegou valley in Houzhen Commune, Lantian District, Shensi.

Shanghou is also mentioned on the Buzhi ding 不栺鼎 (JC: 2735), which was excavated from the tomb no.3 in Fufeng, Shaanxi and records that the Zhou King went to the garrison at Shanghou.⁸⁴ In a recent study, Shanghou is identified with the present-day Houzhen 厚鎮, located between the Lantian 藍田 county and the Weinan 渭南 county in Shaanxi province.⁸⁵

The study profile, an outcrop formed by road building (Fig. 2), is at an altitude of about 920 m in west Hou Town (N34°16', E109°27'), Lantian County.
